WHO RULES
Galatians 5:22-23a - But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance:
There is one fruit of the Holy Spirit which due to its English word has been misunderstood. Longsuffering does not mean to suffer long. Many people think so, and are fooled into not receiving the blessings which the Lord has made available by His sacrifice. They endure sicknesses, problems and curses thinking they are a part of longsuffering.
The word longsuffering in some translations is also translated as patients. Both are right but they loose the actual sense of the word used in the Bible. The word used here is best translated in English as 'SLOW TO ANGER'. If you substitute the word longsuffering with slow to anger in the scriptures you will get the sense of the scriptures.
Romans 9:22
21 Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?
22 What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering [slow to anger] the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction:
23 And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory,
24 Even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles?
Ephesians 4:1-3
1 I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,
2 With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering [slow to anger], forbearing one another in love;
3 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
2 Timothy 4:2
2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering [slow to anger] and doctrine.
This is one important property of being a Christian; being slow to anger. It also develops the main fruit which is love.
Like water management requires water. No water, what do you manage? In the same way to be a Christian we need to have anger. Without anger we can not have slowness to anger (fruit of the Holy Spirit). This does give you the license to hate any bother or to lose you temper. When we are God's children we automatically hate things which are evil. Our anger should be against the works of the evil one. People are just puppets in his plan of destruction. When we get this in our system, we out of love for our brother do not let anger overtake us and we will help them to know God and come out of the powers of the evil one.
Become an angry Christian but do not direct your anger on any brother, but direct it towards the powers that affect him. With love help your brother to overcome the evil one.
Romans 12:9-10 [RSV]
9 Let love be genuine; hate what is evil, hold fast to what is good;
10 love one another with brotherly affection; outdo one another in showing honor.
[ Prayer Starter ]
Father God, I love You and hate the things that go against You. I hate the works of the evil one and destruction he is doing to your children. Help me Father as your child, to be like You. Like You have being patient with me when I was in the dark, that I too may be patient to others and with love bring them to You. I ask this in Jesus' Name, Amen.
Life is a Love Story
Since I've been putting God's Word into my life, I've been taking out a lot of good things. I can describe it best as a kind of quiet satisfaction. I feel good. I feel right with the world, on the right side of the fence. As long as I put His Word into my life, almost everything I take out is good. The satisfaction you get out of living a righteous life is made up of a lot of little things. You have the ambition to do things you didn't feel like doing when you were steeped in sin.
Am I getting satisfaction out of living a righteous life?

Life is a Love Story
YOU need Me. I need you.
My broken world needs you. Many a weary troubled heart needs you. Many a troubled heart will be gladdened by you, drawn nearer to Me by you.
Health – Peace – Joy – Patience – Endurance, they all come from contact with Me.
Oh! It is a glorious way, the upward way, the wonderful discoveries, the tender intimacies, the amazing, almost incomprehensible, understanding. Truly the Christian Life – Life with Me – is a Love story. Leave all to Me.
All you have missed you will find in Me, the Soul's Lover, the Soul's Friend, Gather – Mother – Comrade – Brother. Try me.
You cannot make too many demands upon Me – nor put too great a strain upon My Love and Forbearance.
Claim – claim – claim – Healing – Power – Joy – Supply – what you will.
>--------------------Prayer for the Day
Father, we pray that we may see the beautiful horizons ahead on the upward way. We pray that we may keep going forward to the more abundant life.

Pretend
READ: John 17:6-19
Our 4-year-old grandson loves to play pretend games with grand-ma. He comes over to our home once a week, and Ma-Ma (that's what he calls her) takes him to the supermarket, to the botanical gardens to feed fish and turtles, and to ride the underground train—all without leaving our home! He guards this game of pretend so jealously as something between Ma-Ma and him that one day when we rode the real train, he asked, "Why are there other people in our train?"
Pretending is normal for a young child. But some carry the habit of pretending into adulthood when they attend church. What they do in church has no bearing on what they do the rest of the week. On Sunday they praise God heartily, but on Monday they become different people. What they express in worship is not seen in their behavior.
Our Lord Jesus Christ knows that we can fall into this trap easily. That is why in His prayer to His Father, He said, "I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one" (John 17:15).
God has placed us here to make a difference in our world. As He protects us from falling for the wiles of the evil one, He wants us to live by the same consistent standards in every aspect of our lives—not just on Sunday. — C. P. Hia
Consistency! How much we need
To walk a measured pace,
To live the life of which we speak,
Until we see His face. —Anon.
Some people have heaven on their tongues but the world in their hearts.
Heart's Agony
Is my life becoming really worth living?
>-------------------
Heart's Agony
There is a Calvary-Cross on which one hangs alone, untended by even the nearest and dearest.
But beside the Cross, there stands another, and to My dear ones I say little, I hang there afresh beside each one through the hours of the heart's agony.
Have you ever thought of the Joy that the patient, gentle, loving obedience of My disciples brings to My heart? I know no Joy such as the Joy I feel at the loving trust of a dear one.
The wounds in the Hands and Feet hurt little compared with the wounds in the Heart that are the wounds, not of My enemies, but of My friends.
Little doubts, little fears, little misunderstandings. It is the tender trifles of a day that gladden My Heart. I that speak unto you, and He – your master.
